About Louise Stapleton

Louise Stapleton is the principal designer and owner of Louise Stapleton Interiors.

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, she moved to the U.S. over 20 years ago, starting in Manhattan before relocating to Nashville and eventually Orlando. Her path to interior design began as a hobby with investment projects that quickly evolved into a full-fledged career change driven by her passion for high-end interiors and a desire for solid qualifications.

Her design process is unique: rather than relying on traditional sketching methods, Louise envisions the completed room first and then works backward to bring that vision to life.

This intuitive approach enables her to create spaces that are both beautiful and functional.

Project Overview

1. Innovative Lighting Design

Louise chose contemporary fixtures from Modern Forms to give the project a luxurious, hotel-like feel while ensuring the comfort of a vacation home. The diverse range of decorative lighting solutions catered to every need, from decorative chandeliers and pendants to indoor and outdoor wall lights. She decided to use a warm, 3000K color temperature throughout for a natural ambiance. Using warmer illumination enhances the organic feel that Louise was looking for and avoids the clinical look that higher Kelvin lighting might impart.

2. Enhanced Ambiance and Functionality

Louise designed the lighting plan with layered lighting, and strategically placed fixtures and user-friendly controls to add aesthetic appeal and improve each space’s functionality, making it to navigate and enjoy the home.

3. Unique and Memorable Spaces

Louise worked with Ripple Associates to select distinctive lighting solutions that created memorable spaces throughout the home. From the impressive master bedroom fixture to the cocktail bar designed to emulate a hotel lobby to the uniquely lit movie theater, each area offers a wow factor that enhances the overall experience.

Louise consults closely with her clients from the earliest stages of a project to guide the design process and identify a team to best meet their specific needs. She is typically involved in most phases of design development. This involvement results in an extremely well executed project where every element is chosen to work in unison with all interior furnishings resulting in an amazing “wow factor” home.
